2023 Buick Encore GX

Three trim levels are available for the 2023 Buick Encore GX: Preferred, Select, and Essence. On the Preferred, you get heated exterior mirrors and 18-inch wheels. The Select adds a remote engine start and roof rails. The Essence upgrades you with LED headlights to light the way down even the darkest roads. You can add a hands-free liftgate to make loading and unloading easier or a sunroof to let the sunshine in on beautiful days. You also get automatic windshield wipers if you add the Convenience package.

Depending on the trim, two engines are available for the 2023 Buick Encore GX. The Preferred and Select feature a 1.2-liter three-cylinder with a continuously variable automatic transmission that gets you 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. On the Essence, you get a slightly larger 1.3-liter three-cylinder matched to a nine-speed automatic transmission for 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. The 1.3-liter is optional on the Select trim and standard on any all-wheel-drive Encore GX.

Buick has added many performance enhancements to the 2023 Encore GX. Front-wheel drive is standard, but you can swap it out for an all-wheel-drive system for better control and traction over various conditions. The improved suspension system provides better control and ride quality, giving you and your passengers a seamless ride. Stay on your intended path with StabiliTrak electronic stability control with traction control. The four-wheel anti-lock brakes give you the stopping power you need when you need it.

Slide behind the wheel of the 2023 Buick Encore GX to experience a comfortable interior design. The Preferred has a leather-wrapped steering wheel, satellite radio, keyless entry with push-button start, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a six-speaker audio system, and an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Cold Weather Comfort package adds heated and power-adjustable front seats to your Encore GX. You get the elements of the Cold Weather package as standard features on the Select, along with a rear armrest and dual-zone automatic climate control. The Essence adds an auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, an in-cabin air ionizer, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, driver's seat memory functions, and a household-style power outlet. With the Advanced Technology package, you can also get a navigation system on the Select or Essence. A wireless charging pad is also available on the Essence through the Convenience package.

Safety is a key aspect when purchasing a new vehicle, and Buick has added many safety and driver-assistance features to the 2023 Encore GX. Standard features include automatic high beams, lane departure mitigation, forward collision mitigation, and an advanced airbag system. You can add a blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control to any trim with the Safety package. The Advanced Technology package adds a 360-degree camera, head-up display, and adaptive cruise control. The Convenience package has an automated parking system and a rearview camera integrated with the rearview mirror.
